Compact sedans might not be as popular as the compact crossover SUV segment in the market at the moment. However, that doesn’t go without saying that they are the next most preferred segment in today’s market. The 2021 Mazda3 is known for its subtle and eye-catching design paired with an array of infotainment and driver-assistance features. Compact sedans are brimming with competition with some potent vehicles such as the Honda Civic, which is a direct competitor of the Mazda3.
For the 2021 model year, Mazda has added two engines to the Mazda3 lineup, namely a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that is available on the top trims. The base model now comes standard with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine. Interested in the 2021 Mazda3? We at Metro Mazda of Mesquite can help you acquire one. When looking into the performance aspect, both the cars come head-to-head. The Honda Civic offers another turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-four-cylinder engine that produces 174 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. But the Mazda3 takes it up a notch by offering two additional engines. A 2.5-liter inline-four-cylinder engine that produces 186 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque comes standard for mid-level trims. A turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-four-cylinder engine that pumps out 227 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque comes standard for the top trims. With that, the Mazda3 offers better performance when compared to the Honda Civic.
Coming to the interiors and the infotainment features, both the sedans come neck-and-neck. But the Mazda3 manages to stand out with high-quality materials as well as an easy-to-use infotainment system that makes it a fan favorite. Other than the base trim, the Mazda3 comes standard with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. An optional 12-speaker Bose audio system is also available for most of the trims. The Mazda3 is available in seven trims giving you the flexibility to choose the right car for you based on your requirements. The Mazda3 surely stands out from its competition.
