The 2022 Mazda CX-5 is offered in five trims, namely Sport, Touring, Grand Touring, Turbo, and Signature. The price ranges from $28,000 MSRP for the base Sport trim and can go up to $39,000 MSRP for the top-end Signature trim. Coming to the 2022 Tiguan, it is offered in four trims – S, SE, SE R-Line Black, SEL R-Line. When it comes to horsepower output, the CX-5 has a slightly higher output of 187 horsepower compared to Tiguan’s 184 horsepower. But when it comes to torque output, the Tiguan has higher torque output. But while the Tiguan has only one powertrain option on offer, the CX-5 also offers an enhanced turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces up to 250 horsepower and up to 320 pound-feet of torque.
